What is a bombilla?
A bombilla is a mate drinking tube with a strainer at the bottom. The mate leaves/tea leaves do not go into this sieve, but into the drinking vessel. Now pour water in and insert the bombilla with the sieve downwards. The water should not be too hot, a maximum of 70 degrees, so as not to burn your mouth on the hot metal.
In the case of tea blends with very fine particles, it can happen that these particles pass through or block the fine holes. If it is clogged, simply flush with water. To prevent particles from getting through the holes or clogging the mate filter, there are various preparation techniques that we will be providing information about in our blog.
